Sabiá

for Cello & Piano

Through this composition I wanted to pay homage to Brazilian music. Heitor Villa-lobos, Antonio Carlos Jobim are key composers but many others have come to enrich this music. The sabiá, a bird found only in South America, is one of the symbols of Brazil. This piece depicts the first flight of a young sabiá.
